Butterfly Splines
Premier Log Homes & Structures uses a unique Butter-Fly Spline in all butt joints. This Spline system is a variation of the dovetail corner system, used for centuries in fine and antique furniture, in place of glue or dowel pins. This system, unlike dowel pins, not only prevents air infiltration, but also causes the joint to lock and tighten. It is also much stronger than plastic or square wood Splines.
